Dr. Avraham Belizon is a graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He completed a surgical residency at the North Shore Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Yorkas well as a Fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Cleveland Clinic in Weston, South Florida.

Dr. Belizon has published many articles on surgical procedures, and post surgery physiology. Most significantly he has published studies that looked at the benefits provided by laparoscopic surgery and other minimally invasive surgery techniques. These articles have had a direct impact on the current management of colon and rectal diseases. As a result of his studies and publications, Dr. Belizon has frequently lectured at many symposiums and community groups across the nation, and locally in Florida.

In addition to surgical training, Dr. Belizon, has been specially trained in laparoscopic and minimally invasive techniques which provide patients with speedier recovery, shorter hospital stays, and less scarring than patients who have conventional surgery.
